29 JANUARY – 9 FEBRUARY ABDOULIE CONTEH: PEACE & LOVE WITHIN YOURSELF
Abdoulie Conteh, a contemporary painter from The Gambia, has emerged as a passionate self-taught artist known for his evocative works. Born and raised in West Africa, he began an artistic journey fuelled by the inspiration of his homeland, developing a distinctive style.
12 – 23 FEBRUARY EAST SIDE PRINT
This exhibition presents work by staff and members of East Side Print, a screenprinting studio in Brighton whose membership is comprised of both professional and non-professional artists. Expect a variety of handprinted work covering many different subject matters and approaches, all united by a love of the screenprinted image.
26 FEBRUARY – 9 MARCH TONY O’CONNOR
Since retiring from the City and moving to Saltdean with his family, Tony has rediscovered his love of painting – especially in oils and acrylics. He finds inspiration for his landscapes and portraits in the atmosphere of Brighton’s streets, the North Laine, the people, the markets, the cafes and the vibrant colours.
12 – 23 MARCH WILL MASON: COLOURSTUFF
Step right up! Come on down! The primitive world of the colourstuff comes to town. Taking the gloom out of any room, eyeball pleasers and perception teasers mingle for your delectation. You want colour? We have colour! Get a Chroma zing to welcome the Spring.
26 MARCH – 6 APRIL HELPING PAWS: DOWN TO THE BONE 2
This Rottingdean-based fundraising group is exhibiting works by several different artists to help raise funds for their ongoing charitable work. They help animals in need all over the world and every single penny raised is spent on animal welfare. We hope you will come along to see the beautiful artworks on display and support this worthy cause.
