Volunteers guided by the gardener are maintaining this beautiful and tranquil public space in the heart of Rottingdean. Trees and high flint walls shelter the gardens from the noise of the world outside offering a haven for visitors. The gardens have several distinct areas in terms of their horticultural possibilities and aspects. Our aim is to enhance these with a bio-diverse range of planting to benefit both human and animal visitors.
Volunteers meet on Thursday mornings from 10-12 weather permitting.
The gardens are open from 9am-7pm April-September, 9am-4pm October-March.
Events are not organised by the Friends of Kipling Gardens however the gardens are used as a venue for other local groups.
