Rottingdean & Saltdean Lions Club has been serving the people in our area for over 50 years during which time we have raised many hundreds of thousands of pounds for mainly local good causes. Recently we have provided Christmas parcels for disadvantaged families, a Christmas lunch for seniors, given reading books to all Reception Class pupils in our local Primary Schools, supported the local foodbanks and helped individuals and families in need.
We are part of Lions Clubs International which is the world’s largest service club organisation. Its 1.4 million members worldwide are dedicated to bettering the quality of life for the less fortunate in our local communities.
The Rottingdean and Saltdean Lions Club is thrilled to announce that their much-loved summer fairs will return next year. These annual events, which have become a staple in the local community over the years, promise to bring even more fun, entertainment, and family-friendly activities to Rottingdean and Saltdean.
The summer fairs have always been a highlight of the year, drawing crowds from across our area to enjoy a day filled with stalls, games, live music, and delicious food and drink. They provide an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together, celebrate, and support a worthy cause, with all proceeds going toward charitable initiatives spearheaded by the Lions Club.
Next year’s fairs are set to continue this tradition, with the Lions Club already in the planning stage. This will be much welcomed after our recent enforced hiatus for these fairs. The Rottingdean Lions Fayre will be held on 14th June on the Green in Rottingdean and the Lions Saltdean Gala on 19th July at Saltdean Oval. Please put these dates in your diary now.
We also have our Christmas Fair this year on Saturday 7th December in Rottingdean Village Hall.
